Cool
as a fridge
David Brown
If you don’t have a child
Your whole life can be filed
Under M for much more fun
You can spend your life in pubs
Take-aways and smokey clubs
And the only sick you have to clear up is your own
If you don’t
reproduce
You can be of much more use
Pushing bits of paper ‘round a desk
You can shout down your mobile phone
On the train on your way home
And everyone around you will be impressed
If you don’t
have kids
Life can be cool - As cool as a fridge
If you don’t have kids
If you don’t continue the
line
No need to worry about Christmas time
It’s just another ordinary day
No need for a tree and glitter
Take in a soap and a T.V. dinner
What’s so special about it anyway?
If you don’t
have kids
Life can be cool - As cool as a fridge
If you don’t have kids
If you don’t have a child
They won’t ever put you on trial
For all the things you did and did not do
You can be smug as you grow old
You'll be rich and bungalowed
Knowing no one will come and bother you
If you don’t
have kids
Life can be cool - As cool as a fridge
If you don’t have kids
And if you don’t have a
kid
You’ll never do what your daddy did
