Yeah,
no (I love her so)
David Brown
She washes her hands more times a day
than the crazy woman in the Scottish play
she scrubs them ‘til they’re red and raw
it’s her and the germs in an endless war
Though it may hide inside a Marigold
she still wears my band of gold
she’s still the mother of my kids
but everyone’s better off like this
Yeah, no - I love her so
I go for Sunday lunch most weeks
for quality time and the smell of bleach
the children cry if I don’t stay too long
she wipes the chair down when I’m gone
The neighbours think I work away
I phone the kids every other day
yeah, we still make a pretty good team
it ain’t perfect - but it’s clean
Yes. She knows I see somebody who
does all the things that she won’t do
she knows she’ll never be my other half
she has filthy thoughts and a dirty laugh |
